About the Community Art Garden

The Community Art Garden will premiere at Figment Boston 2011, on Sunday June 5.

It calls for visitors' participation in growing an Art Garden in a day. Participants will create flowers using reclaimed sweaters to then plant in the Rose Kennedy Greenway downtown Boston. The landscape will be transformed, challenging people's perception of the city while raising awareness of:
- the need for more green spaces in urban environment;

- the importance of individual participation in the community;

- the growing clothing waste in our society.

Everyone is invited to participate.
Figment is free and open to the public.

About FIGMENT

FIGMENT is an explosion of creative energy. It's a free, annual celebration of particpatory art and culture where everything is possible. For two days on June 4 and June 5, 2011, it will transform the rose Kennedy Greenway into a large-scale collaborative artwork, and then it's gone.
